01. Inside The Corw's Nest


Inside The Crow's Nest is a cooperative adventure prototype created in Unreal Engine 5 by a 15-person team of programmers, designers, and artists. Players inhabit a floating airship that works as a living hub where they solve environmental puzzles, unlock upgrades, and unravel the ship's mysteries.

I owned the interaction layer: building reusable blueprints for contextual actions, wiring systemic event triggers, and crafting the character state machine that keeps locomotion, abilities, and animation cues in sync. Working hand in hand with design, I iterated on traversal prototypes, tuned cooperative mechanics, and balanced enemy encounters so challenges scale smoothly with player progression.

The production sharpened my Unreal tooling, especially around gameplay ability patterns and real-time debugging, and reinforced how critical cross-discipline communication is when aligning level art, narrative beats, and build stability.
